Last week, we had the honor and pleasure of hosting 20 retirees at the Kilpilahti power plant, marking a special day of knowledge exchange and industrial heritage. The visit brought together past and present, creating a unique opportunity to showcase the evolution of energy generation in the Kilpilahti industrial area.

Among our distinguished guests was a former employee who had personally started up the boiler of the old power plant decades ago. Their firsthand experience and stories provided a fascinating contrast to our current operations, highlighting just how far technology and industrial processes have advanced.

During the comprehensive site tour, our team presented Veolia's current operations and our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. We detailed the sophisticated features of our new power plant and shared insights into the complex construction project that brought it to life. The visitors showed great interest in understanding how modern automation, environmental considerations, and efficiency improvements have transformed energy generation.

The presentations sparked engaging discussions about the industry's transformation over the years. Our guests shared valuable historical perspectives, while our team explained how Veolia is embracing new technologies and sustainable practices to meet future energy challenges.

This visit exemplified the importance of maintaining connections with industry veterans and sharing knowledge across generations. Their deep understanding of the plant's history, combined with their genuine interest in its modern evolution, made the day particularly meaningful for all involved.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our visitors for taking the time to tour our facilities and for sharing their invaluable experiences and memories. Such exchanges not only honor our industrial heritage but also inspire us as we continue to innovate and advance in the energy sector.
